CSI in partnership with AIDS Housing of Washington provides Homeless TA in Alabama as a part of the McKinney Technical Assistance Program, Office of Community Planning and Development, HUD. 

McKinney TA is available to grantees and other eligible organizations operating or seeking to develop a program for homeless persons. CSI provides program consultation, training, and planning to assist communities to develop or strengthen their programs. In most cases, technical assistance is provided to eligible organizations free of charge as a service from HUD. TA is offered through conference calls, email, on-line conferencing or on-site.

Examples of Technical Assistance:

• Program review and consultation

• Staff education on homeless program eligible activities and program implementation

• Trainings including:

  • Introduction to the Continuum of Care

  • Introduction to Supportive Housing Program (SHP)

• Homeless Strategic Planning

• Planning Facilitation for 10-year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness
