With the passage of the Alabama Landlord-Tenant Law in 2006, a coalition of housing advocates developed The Alabama Tenants’ Handbook to help renters understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities under the new law.

If you are interested in viewing the Landlord Tenant Act in the Code of Alabama, please follow these instructions:

1.   Go to http://alisondb.legislature.state.al.us/acas/acaslogin.asp
2.   Click on the tab CODE OF ALA on the left side of the screen
3.   Select VIEW
4.   Go to Title 35, Chapter 9A to the Landlord Tenant Act.
